Reasons Locker Should Stay

Long time no post.

Well now that Locker has decided to come back. I think it's better for his long-term career rather than just jumping to the NFL and cashing out.

A friend and I have been coming up with pretty legit reasons why we think Locker should stay. We do realize the CBA for the NFL could lead to a salary cap for rookies in the 2011 season. It could be part selfishness that we want Locker to stay one more year for our Dawgs, but we think the pros out-weigh the cons.

So here are reasons we think Locker should stay:
- He's compiled a 9-28 record as the starting QB. Does he really want to leave his Husky legacy with that record? Having never played in a bowl game?
- He's grown as a passer under Coach Sark in only one year. What will another year do? He only has a career 54% completion percentage
- Candidate for Heisman in 2010
- Money is not an issue. He has a minor league contract with the Angels.
- You can argue that he'll be a top 10 pick in the NFL draft, but the 10th pick in the 2010 draft would probably get the same amount as the #1 overall pick in the 2011 draft. Regardless if there is a cap or not.
- Injuries like Bradford - You can't play this game scared to get hurt. Jake doesn't.
- After beating USC, almost beating ND, whipping the cougs, and ending the season dominating the Cal Bears, the momentum for this program is rising.
- Jake and Sark brought Husky Fever back where it belongs.

One more year! One more year!

Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk

Congrats to the Kansas Jayhawks!

Chalmers probably hit the biggest shot of his career so far, that sent the game to over-time. Memphis fans must've had some flash backs of when Darius Washington also had free-throws with the game on the line.

But that was a great game, because the past couple of NCAA Championship games, were kind of a bore.

Of course, as always, you can't forget a compilation of the tournament and One Shining Moment.

Tourny Time!

I love this time of the year. Watching the teams compete for that One Shining Moment.

You can watch it live on the NCAA Sports website. Comes with a nice convenient "BOSS" button.

Congratulations to the Florida Gators

They are an example of a complete team that can dominate on both ends of the court.
